“Bohemian Garnets are a variety of Garnet called Pyrope - from the Greek words ‘per’ for ‘fire’ and ‘ops’ for ‘eye”.
Not to be confused with the mid 20th century examples which are generally stamped 925 and gold plated. Here we have an original Victorian Bohemian Garnet bangle dating from the late Victorian era to very early Edwardian era.
Set throughout with all her original rose-cut Bohemian Garnets, with no replacements, re-glues or chips to any of her luscious fiery red gems.
Designed as quite an unusual ‘crossover’ style and in traditional early Tombac - which is a which is an alloy of copper and zinc used to imitate gold and very commonly used in Bohemian Garnet jewellery during this era.
This dainty Victorian beauty was made for a small wrist … she measures a petite internal circumference of only 15cm .. so please ladies measure your wrists! But we know this will be the perfect bracelet for some very luck person out there however!

CONDITION
Very very good antique condition. All Garnets are original, no chips, nicks or re-glues. Clasp works well and has original safety chain also. Being the central rectangular section there could be a very early reinforcement, well done and very stable. Patina to Tombac here and there. Very good condition.
