A charming piece of Australian jewellery history in the form of a classic shell cameo brooch by one of our well know early jewellers Willis And Sons.
Crafted from 9ct rosy hued gold and bezel set with a finely carved Conch shell cameo, in high relief, of a woman in profile.
A simple wide 9ct rose gold frame surrounds the cameo, and the verso has its original C clasp, pin and safety chain/pin also.
Cameos wax and wane in popularity, however they are surging in popularity again, and what better way to enhance you jewellery collection than with a hallmarked piece of antique Australian jewellery history!

Very very good antique condition. No cracks or damage to cameo. Gold is lovely, a very nice rosy antique hue, no damage. Original C claps, pin and safety chain to verso. No issues to note.
