Dating to the Georgian era when quizzing glasses reached their peak of popularity, this beautifully proportioned example is perfect to wear on your favourite chain or plush velvet ribbon.

Quizzing lasses served a dual purpose, both as a fashion statement popular during this era, and a functional adornment used to “quiz” people when the occasion demanded, and to magnify when required!

An opulent little example with beautiful fine engraving work to the handle, and both the lens frame and bottom loop feature a ‘faceted’ bevelled edge, truly stunning!, this symbol of refinement from a bygone era is a lovely addition to any jewellery collection.

Magnifying quite well when used correctly (held away from the face, not like a jewellers loupe), this special piece is not only b beautiful example of Georgian refinement but a functional piece of jewellery also!
