A striking piece of jewellery from the Victorian era, these antique ladies Albertina fob chains typically date from the mid to late 19th century, and were used to hold a ladies pocket watch, and today, popular as both exquisite bracelets, or add a gold chain (see photos) enabling this multi functional piece of jewellery to be worn as a necklace also.

This exceptionally fine example is crafted from both 15ct gold and 9ct gold in tri-colour form (rose, yellow and green gold) which is seen often in these pieces.
The dog-clip, bolt ring, oval links and terminals are in 9ct rose gold, and the intricately crafted slider (which slides), triple fox-tail chains are in 15ct gold.

Measuring end to end from tassel drop to dog clip it measures a superb 30.5cm, and ‘closed’ with dog clip to bolt ring a bracelet sized 24cm. The removal of the oval links at the dog clip, easily done by a jeweller, could shorten this if desired.

The slider and tassel top are stunning displaying raised floral motifs in rose and green gold which in contrast to the rich 15ct yellow gold is striking.
The tassel features an amazing twelve (12) strands of foxtail drops finished with small bead ends, all of which are immaculate in condition.

Pieces of they calibre present rarely to the market let alone in this condition, weight and quality.
