Antique 9ct Rose Gold Amethyst Diamond Crescent Brooch ‘Chester’ 1911

Sale price$1,050.00 AUD

Laybys welcome! Contact Us today to secure your dream piece.
Perfectly pretty Edwardian crescent brooch assayed in Chester in 1911.

Crafted from rosy 9ct rose gold and set with twelve round faceted light Amethysts, graduating in size, and twelve tiny rough rose-cut diamonds.

Modelled as an elongated ‘open’ crescent so very popular in the late Victorian to early Edwardian era and hallmarked for assay in Chester 1911.

Open crescent brooches such as this one were often given at the start of a relationship signifying that hopefully the relationship would ‘wax’ into a marriage.  How romantic!

Quite beautifully made with a little extra we have not seen before.  There is a little extra safety clasp which once the pin is secured under the C clasp this tiny and ingenious clasp clips up to further secure the pin!

Pin this stunning antique brooch to your favourite lapel or collar or perhaps suspend her from your favourite chain.
