Vintage Estate 18ct White Gold Diamond And Sapphire Brooch Circa 1930-1940’s

Dating to around the 1940-50’s this stunning and large brooch makes quite the impression when worn on your favourite lapel, scarf, or as a front closure on a crisp white shirt!
Crafted from 18ct white gold and designed as a long - 5cm - bar style brooch and set to the central section a superb quality teal/blue Sapphire weighing approximately 1.20cts, set in opposing Toi et Moi (you and Me) fashion with a large lustrous cup-set creamy white Pearl.
Surrounding these two stunners we find a series of twenty two bright and white old European diamonds, and to either end a further two graduated large rayed backed setting Pearls.
Securing with a large and solid (9ct white gold) pin and a roll-over C clasp with safety arm for security, once attached this stunning brooch is safe and sound.
Brooches are back in style.. one only has to watch the celebrity award shows! This fine quality piece is suitable for any gender, men are embracing the brooch fad too!
**For your consideration.. This brooch ‘could’ be repurposed by a competent jeweller into a fabulous Toi et Moi ring using the central sapphire, pearl and diamond section, and.. the two sets of pearls at either end into a fabulous pair of earrings.. just a thought!

CONDITION
Very good to excellent condition. Sapphire is stunning, six claw set, no chips or abrasions, well set and very secure. Pearls are well matched, large, creamy white and luminous, natural organic imperfections seen, totally typical. Pin and rollover C clasp are original, C claps has a rollover safety arm for added security. Stunning piece of jewellery.
