Vintage Australian Sterling Silver Enamel ‘Blue Bird Of Happiness’ Earrings
Dating to the 1950’s to 70’s these all original dainty earrings feature the ‘Bluebird of Happiness’ in guilloché blue enamel and crafted from Sterling Silver and retailed by Australian jewellery firm Lustre.
Designed for pierced ears with shepherds hook fittings.
The origins of symbolic Bluebird jewellery dates back to around the late Victorian era - *see link below for information - and were given as love tokens to sweet hearts and sometimes worn as ’something blue’ on a wedding day.
