This beautifully balanced vintage 9 carat yellow gold Opal and Emerald bridge ring has an understated elegance that quietly captivates the moment it’s seen. Fully hallmarked in London with a date letter for 1979, this ring is now approximately 47 years old, carrying the charm and craftsmanship of its era with confidence and grace.
Designed in a classic three‑stone bridge style, the ring features a central oval Opal of approximately 0.28 carats, flanked by two further Opals of around 0.20 carats each. These Opals display a soft, soothing blue‑green body colour, with gentle, subtle flashes of play‑of‑colour that appear as the light moves. Rather than bold fire, their beauty lies in their calm, milky glow—perfectly complemented by the warmth of the yellow gold.
Nestled between the opals are tiny round‑cut Emeralds, adding delicate pinpoints of fresh green sparkle that lift the entire design and enhance the Opals’ natural tones.

Very very good vintage condition. There are no chips or abrasions to the Opals, all well set and secure. The tiny Emeralds show some surface wear under magnification, noting for accuracy only, they are well set and secure. No thinning to shank, no repairs or damages. A very sweet ring!
