Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold Mechanical ‘Toby Jug’ Charm/Pendant - Birmingham 1967
This delightful little vintage 9ct yellow gold mechanical Toby jug charm is pure fun and full of character!
Crafted from 9 carat yellow gold and fully hallmarked for Birmingham with a 1967 date stamp.
At first glance you see a cheerful Toby jug complete with his tricorn hat and jolly expression. But open it up at the base to reveal the sweetest surprise — a tiny dog sitting inside, looking up with such a cute, expectant face that it always brings a smile.
What makes this one extra special is that hidden dog detail. Many Toby jug charms are ordinary, but this mechanical version with its charming little surprise is much harder to find and quite collectible.
Measuring 1.4cm tall and 9.4mm at the base, this little charmer would look wonderful dangling from your charm bracelet adding a touch of quirky British whimsy. Or with the addition of a larger 9ct gold jump ring it could also be worn on your favourite necklace/chain.
(Please note we advise a new jump ring, this one is original and shows remnants of gold solder after being removed from the previous owners charm bracelet).

Condition
Very good to excellent vintage condition. This charm opens and closes very securely. No dents or dings. Hallmarks clear.Original small top loop/link is small and shows its previous original solder marks - we would advise a ‘new’ jump ring and if wearing on a chain a larger link will need to be added. No issues to note.
