Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold Garnet Five-Stone Half Hoop Ring - Birmingham 1972
Please note, boxes are for display only unless otherwise stated.
One of the prettiest and most detailed ‘antique style’ vintage rings we’ve had the pleasure of offering. And if that isn’t enough the Garnets in this vintage 54 year old beauty are the deepest crimson red and scintillate with a remarkable rich intensity.
Crafted from 9ct yellow gold, designed in classic half-hoop style and set with five oval-cut faceted Pyrope Garnets in graduated fashion.
The Garnets weigh a wonderful combined 2.20cts, and all are very securely set in ornate strong claws.
The under gallery is equally stunning, highly detailed, and this exquisite detailing extends not only to the shoulders but half way down the entire shank.
The strong and very solid shank keeps this crimson beauty firmly on the finger, and bears the full UK hallmarks for assay in London and date letter stamp for 1972 - over half a century old - this ring presents in a condition that belies its age, appearing to have spent little if no time on the finger!
