Vintage 18ct Yellow Gold Sapphire and Diamond Multi Row Ring

A beautifully substantial vintage sapphire and diamond multi-row ring, crafted in 18ct yellow gold and dating to approximately the 1970s–80s.
The broad rectangular face is arranged in three striking rows, with four natural square-cut sapphires forming the central line, framed above and below by ten sparkling round brilliant-cut diamonds.
The sapphires display a particularly rich, saturated blue with a lovely depth of colour; in certain lighting they reveal an attractive violet-blue undertone, giving the stones a wonderfully changeable character as the ring moves on the hand.
The four sapphires measure approximately 3.2mm x 3.4mm each, with a combined estimated weight of approximately 0.80ct in settings. They are complemented by ten round brilliant-cut diamonds measuring approximately 2.33mm each, estimated at approximately 0.50ct total, assessed as G–H colour and SI1–SI2 clarity.
The diamonds provide a bright contrast against the deep blue sapphires, while the warm 18ct yellow gold band gives the overall design a wonderfully bold vintage presence.
With its strong geometric arrangement and generous proportions, the ring measures approximately 1.61cm east to west across the finger with a rise of 4.6mm, allowing you to stack your favourite wedding ring alongside. It weighs a very pleasing 9.38 grams, making it a fabulous statement ring that is sure to turn heads!
Stamped ‘18ct’. There is also an etched inscription reading ‘9.84 Blue White’, possibly a description of the ring which could be professionally buffed out by any competent jeweller if desired.

Condition
Very very good preowned condition. Diamonds are lovely, well set, bright white and lively, no chips or abrasions. Sapphires display a rich, saturated blue with a lovely depth of colour. One of the end Sapphires shows the tiniest nibble to the girdle edge, extending slightly to the adjacent crown facet, hardly visible with the naked eye but noted for accuracy.
