Victorian 14k *Gold Filled* Etruscan Style Slider Tassel Bracelet Circa 1890
Dating to the late Victorian era this wonderful bangle slips over the hand and then can be adjusted by sliding the stunning central slide until the fit is just perfect for you!
Crafted from, and stamped to the back accordingly, 14k gold fill.
14k gold-filled jewellery gives the look of real gold and can last for decades, even a lifetime with care. A layer of 14k gold is bonded over a base metal, sometimes silver, sometimes brass etc. The solid gold layer is 5 - 10 times thicker than ‘plated’ jewellery and must contain no less than 5% real gold.
The central large 2.3cm x 2.1cm sliding panel has Etruscan style wire work detail and a Greek ‘meander’ motif commonly seen in Greek art and architecture and is simply stunning, and this striking detail is replicated again on the terminal holding the eight lovely foxtail Tassels!
Wide, lush, intricate and in stunningly good condition given its long lasting composition this superbly made antique slider bangle with care will last another lifetime.
