Superb Mid-Century Mikimoto Pearl And Silver ‘Grape’ Earrings Circa 1950’s
Crafted in sterling silver, each earring is designed as a hanging bunch of grapes, topped with an intricately engraved grape leaf motif that gives the pair a lovely natural and organic elegance.
Suspended below are ten lustrous Mikimoto saltwater Akoya pearls to each earring, arranged in gently graduating sizes to create a soft, natural grape cluster effect.
One of the most appealing features of this design is the gentle curve of each grape cluster, which sits beautifully when worn and adds a subtle sense of movement and shape.
They are fitted with screw-back fastenings, making them ideal for non-pierced ears and comfortable to wear.
Even better, the earrings come with their original box, something that is becoming increasingly difficult to find.
They present almost as though they have hardly ever been worn, having been carefully stored in their original Mikimoto box for many years.

Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The Pearls are lovely, white and lustrous, well set and secure. Screw backs work perfectly. No damages or repairs.Box is in good condition, opens and closes perfectly and tightly, hinges excellent. Inside of box in very good condition, some slight discolouration here and there. There is some lifting and fraying to the rear of the box (see photos). No other issues to note!
