Stunning Vintage Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Bracelet Denmark #3 Circa 1945-1977
Please note, boxes are for display only unless otherwise stated.
This beautifully sculptural Georg Jensen bracelet is a perfect expression of why the firm’s post‑war silver has become so sought after. The design itself was established in 1944, and this example bears the standard post‑war Georg Jensen maker’s mark introduced in 1945—the oval cartouche with dotted surround—together with “Sterling Denmark” and the model number #3. When these marks appear together, they place the bracelet confidently after 1945 and before 1977, the year Jensen moved to the “925 S” stamp. In other words, this is a genuine mid‑century piece, not a modern remake.
What makes this bracelet so captivating is its flowing, organic language—an evolution of Jensen’s Art Nouveau roots that carried seamlessly from the 1940s through the 1960s. Alternating sculpted leaves and softly domed rosette motifs move fluidly around the wrist, each articulated link designed to sit beautifully and feel wonderfully alive when worn. The silver has that unmistakable depth and glow that only comes from hand‑finished work of this period.
The bracelet weighs a hefty 29.9 grams, giving it a lovely presence without ever feeling heavy. It fastens with a clever hidden box clasp, allowing the design to run uninterrupted all the way around the wrist for a smooth, elegant finish.
Once closed, the clasp disappears into the pattern, leaving a bracelet that feels seamless, refined, and exceptionally well thought out.
Condition is excellent, with crisp detail throughout and no issues to note—something that is increasingly rare for pieces of this age. It wears effortlessly, whether styled with other silver jewellery or worn alone as a statement of quiet confidence and timeless design.
This is a bracelet for someone who appreciates authentic Georg Jensen craftsmanship: a true vintage piece rooted in a 1940s design, made during the golden decades of Danish silver, and as wearable and desirable today as it was when it first left the workshop.
Once on the wrist, it’s very hard to take off—and even harder not to fall in love with.
