Stunning Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold Heart-Cut Amethyst And Pearl Pendant - London 1976

One of our favourite pieces this week, this ‘antique style’ pendant is in fact vintage and hails from the UK with full hallmarks for manufacture/assay in London in 1976 - still almost 50 years old!
Crafted from 9ct yellow gold and designed as large 3.1cm x 2.4cm pendant with the most glorious heart-cut Amethyst as its centre. Five claw set with strong original claws, this fine Amethyst is in excellent condition, of a superb deeply saturate purple hue, with no facet wear, let alone abrasions or chips.. this piece has been carefully loved and cared for, and in our opinion seldomly worn.
Surrounding the Amethyst are an array of natural half seed Pearls to the perimeter and a further seven cultured Pearls to the outer border which features saintly foliate motifs also.
To the verso a good sized hidden bale allows the chain of your choice to be easily threaded through, or perhaps a bolt ring is desired.
In excellent condition, this fabulous and impressively sized pendant is a delight to wear and behold!

Excellent vintage condition. The Amethyst is superb, with no chips, facet wear or abrasions. All claws are original and in excellent condition holding the Amethyst perfectly. All Pearls are original, well set and secure. No repairs or damages. A lovely vintage antique style piece!
