Lovely Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold Bloodstone Signet Ring — London 1958

A wonderfully handsome vintage 9ct yellow gold bloodstone signet ring, hallmarked for London 1958, with beautifully flowing shoulders and a rich depth of colour. Weighing a pleasing 6.61 grams, this lovely piece combines a substantial presence on the finger with a comfortable, low profile.

Taking centre stage is an oval bloodstone measuring approximately 1.43 × 1.15 cm, displaying a gorgeous deep forest-green hue, scattered with distinctive flecks of rich brick-red and crimson. The contrast is particularly lovely — tiny splashes of warm red against the dark, lush green, framed beautifully by the mellow yellow gold.
A smooth rub-over setting follows the outline of the bloodstone, flowing into broad, gently curved shoulders. The band measures approximately 8.75 mm at its widest point, tapering gracefully to 2.4 mm at the rear of the shank. Its low rise allows the ring to sit close to the finger, making it wonderfully comfortable to wear and a lovely choice for an everyday signature piece!
With its clean lines, warm gold and richly patterned stone, this is a timeless vintage ring with plenty of character — perfect for those who appreciate the understated beauty of a classic signet.

Condition
Presenting in lovely vintage condition. The bloodstone is in wonderful condition for its age, with only minuscule fleabites to the outer edges, noticeable upon very close observation (x10 loupe magnification), and mentioned for accuracy. The gold displays very minor surface marks consistent with gentle wear, retaining a lovely polished appearance.
