A true masterpiece of design and craftsmanship, this late Art Deco to early Retro era 18-carat yellow gold and diamond “scroll” ring is one of the most exceptional pieces we’ve had the pleasure of offering — and our personal favourite this week.

Dating from around the late 1930s to early 1940s, this ring perfectly bridges the elegance of Art Deco with the bold, sculptural style of the Retro period. 

Crafted in luxurious 18-carat yellow gold, it features a central old Mine-cut diamond of approximately 0.25 carats, set in a Platinum millegrain-edged bezel setting that enhances the diamond’s antique sparkle.

Each shoulder rises gracefully to meet the centre, each also set with three graduated old mine-cut diamonds on either side. What truly sets this ring apart, however, is its extraordinary under-gallery — each of the four scrolls beneath the shoulders is individually set with tiny antique-cut diamonds, creating a dazzling play of light and detail from every angle.

Beautifully solid and substantial, this ring weighs an impressive 6.7 grams, giving it a reassuring presence and luxurious feel on the hand. 
It sits quite comfortably alongside other bands — even a wedding ring — making it as wearable as it is breathtaking.

In superb condition and unlike anything we’ve seen before, this ring is a rare and unique example of transitional Art Deco–Retro design — elegant, sculptural, and utterly captivating from every view.
