Contemporary 9ct Yellow Gold Goshenite Daisy Cluster Ring — Birmingham 2004
Big Sparkle, Daisy Style!
A wonderfully bright and beautifully proportioned piece, this gorgeous 9ct yellow gold goshenite ring takes the classic daisy cluster and gives it an impressively generous, sparkling presence on the finger. Arranged across three graduated concentric tiers, the setting creates wonderful depth and dimension, with each layer of colourless goshenite catching the light from a slightly different angle.
Please note, boxes are for display only unless otherwise stated.
At its centre sits a beautiful round goshenite measuring approximately 5.91mm, with an estimated weight of 0.75cts in setting. Exceptionally pretty in appearance, the stone has that wonderfully clean, almost icy colourlessness for which goshenite is admired, allowing light to travel freely through the stone and giving it a crisp, bright sparkle.
Encircling the centre is a second tier of eleven round goshenites, each measuring approximately 2.33mm and estimated at 0.04 carat, forming a neat halo around the principal stone. A further sixteen matching 2.33mm goshenites create the outermost tier, completing the beautifully full daisy-like formation. Altogether, the ring contains 28 goshenites with an estimated combined weight of approximately 1.83 carats.
Goshenite is the colourless variety of beryl, belonging to the same mineral family as emerald and aquamarine. Prized for its transparency and delicate, crystal-clear appearance, it has a wonderfully fresh quality, particularly when used in a multi-stone design such as this where the abundance of facets creates such a lively display of light.
The ring carries UK hallmarks for Birmingham, including the date letter ‘e’ for 2004. Despite its generous face, the arrangement remains beautifully feminine and elegant on the hand; the layered cluster has plenty of presence without feeling overly heavy, while its icy-white stones create a striking contrast against the warmth of the 9ct yellow gold.
A really lovely interpretation of the traditional daisy ring — bright, feminine and wonderfully sparkly, with an impressive spread across the finger and a beautifully crisp, almost diamond-like appearance.
