Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Large Propelling Pencil - Circa 1890-1900
An antique sterling silver propelling pencil, dating to the late Victorian era.
This stunning piece of craftsmanship is not only a functional writing instrument but also a work of art that embodies the elegance of a bygone era.
The Sterling Silver body of the pen and pencil is adorned with intricate engravings, and has a large ornate engraved slider which matches the top Citrine coloured past stone beautifully, showcasing the attention to detail and skill of the silversmiths who created it.
A small piece of original lead is in place ready for use, and the top Citrine paste head screws off to reveal an internal container with holds an extra piece of lead!
A large and heavy example once extended it measures a full 12.2cm and a substantial weight of 16 grams.

Very good antique condition. Pencil glides smoothly. Original piece of pencil in place, and one extra in the screw off top also. No chips or damage to Citrine coloured Paste, no deterioration to foil backing.
