Antique Victorian/Edwardian 9ct Rose Gold And Garnet Double Snake Ring Circa 1900
Crafted from rich hued 9ct rose gold and designed as a ‘Toi et Moi’ or ‘You and Me’ ring popularised when Prince Albert proposed to Queen Victoria with a snake ring set with an Emerald. The public at this time, and in the subsequent decades to follow, continued to favour Serpent jewellery and it remained popular into the late 19th century.
Giving a wonderful large finger coverage of 1.4cm at the widest point and 1.0cm wide for the remainder of the shank circumference.
Finger hugging this one veritably melts on to the finger, doesn’t ‘slip’ around and we can 100% attest she feels wonderful to wear.
