Highly unusual 18ct yellow gold ring hallmarked so clearly for 1881, 18ct gold and assay for London.

Featuring three old mine cut diamonds, all claw set in 18ct yellow gold and low profile to the glossy and original black enamel.

The enamel extends half way down the band and ends with a pointed tapered motif which contrasts beautifully with the rich and bright yellow gold.

The three diamonds are in slightly graduated style with the centre diamond measuring approx 4mm or 0.25ct and the two flaking diamonds measure approx 3.5-3.74mm each or approx 0.20ct each ( measured in settings ).

Stunning and unusual in every way this late Victorian ring is as stylish today as it was 140 years ago. Teams and sits well with many other flat bands.

CONDITION

Very good to excellent 140 year old condition. Diamond are very secure and claws are original and safe. Enamel has a few minor marks but no losses. Hallmarks are very crisp and clear and there is no thinning to shank.
