Antique Victorian 15ct Yellow Gold 126cm Guard/Muff Chain Circa 1890-1900
Crafted as a heavy - 33 gram - and long - 126cm - solid round interlocking belcher link chain with each belcher link almost tubular in form with three grooves resembling three joined links!
Fully crafted from sought after 15ct gold which has a colour, weight and charm all its own and collectible now in its own right.
A large 1.8cm 15ct gold dog-clip, bright and luxurious in hue, enables this superb antique chain to be styled in a variety of options, and/or to be used to support your favourite pendant or locket if desired.
Wrapping around the neck three times with ease and still sitting below the collar bones, or twice which will hang low on the torso, the wearing options are endless!
We must make note of this chains condition… it is almost as good as the day it was made over 120 plus years ago, we believe this is one of those rare pieces that was tucked away and never worn, she is still as bright, rich in colour and infinity wearable to day as she was a century ago.

Very very good antique condition. No repairs, no thinning, lovely strong and sturdy condition. Dog clip is strong and solid, opens and closes with perfect springiness. Heavy and beautifully crafted, feels wonderful around the neck.
