Symbolising eternal love, continuity and fidelity the Ivy plant was popular throughout the 19th and early 20th century as a motif for these enduringly popular wedding bands.

‘I cling to thee’ was the powerful and sentimental philosophy behind the use of the Ivy leaf, and in fact wreaths of ivy leaves were used to crown the heads of a couple on their wedding day.

Handcrafted in 1912 from lush hued 9ct rose gold and assayed in Birmingham.
This traditional and elegant band features the highly symbolic ‘Ivy Leaf’ pattern hand engraved throughout the full circumference of the ring.

Measuring a lovely wide 7.5mm showing a nice finger coverage.
With makers marks ‘KBSP’ for Kinsey Brothers & Patric,  56 Albion Street, Birmingham. They registered at Chester in 1897.

In excellent condition for its 109 years of age, bright, lush and happens to be a very comfortable ring to wear.
