This exceptional antique Edwardian double-headed serpent ring, crafted in 9-carat rose gold, is one of our absolute favourites this week — a piece that perfectly embodies elegance, rarity, and timeless design. Crafted in 1912, this ring is now over 110 years old, yet it remains as captivating as ever.

The design is wonderfully unusual: two smooth, stylised serpent heads intertwine seamlessly in a low-rise, finger-hugging form. Unlike many serpent rings of the era, this example is minimalist and sleek, with no eyes or defined facial features — just subtle scale-like texturing along the outer curves that catch the light beautifully. The double-grooved shank adds a distinctive touch of craftsmanship, enhancing its sculptural appeal.

Fully hallmarked for Chester assay, this ring bears the date letter M for 1912, along with multiple 9-carat (375) stamps — found under each serpent head and within the inner shank. Though some marks have softened with age, they remain clearly legible and confirm its authenticity.

The Chester hallmark, makes this piece particularly collectible and desirable among antique jewellery enthusiasts.
At 1.4 cm wide, this ring makes a bold yet refined statement. It feels silky smooth and luxurious on the finger, with a weight and comfort that speak to its quality.
We haven’t seen another quite like it — its rare design and impeccable craftsmanship make it a must-have for collectors of serpent jewellery and those who appreciate the distinctive charm of Chester-made pieces.

A true treasure from the Edwardian era — elegant, tactile, and utterly unique.
