Antique Edwardian 9ct Rose Gold And Citrine Spinner Fob Circa 1910
A Drop Of Honey
A wonderfully charming antique Edwardian 9ct rose gold and Citrine spinner fob, circa 1910, showcasing the beautiful decorative detailing and elegant craftsmanship so characteristic of the era.
Please note, chains are for display only unless otherwise stated.
Taking centre stage is a beautifully faceted natural Citrine, displaying a gorgeous warm golden-yellow to rich honey hue, with flashes of amber and sunshine yellow emerging as the stone catches the light. The Citrine is designed to spin freely within its rose gold frame, allowing both sides of the beautifully faceted stone to be admired.
The surrounding 9ct rose gold mount is particularly lovely, featuring fine engraved and hand-worked detailing throughout. Delicate geometric and foliate-inspired engraving decorates the arched frame and triangular upper section, while seven petite gold ball accents are positioned around the setting, giving the piece wonderful texture and that unmistakable Edwardian charm. A larger polished gold ball sits beneath the bale, beautifully completing the design. The inside of the gold mount is also stamped ‘9’ and ’375’, a lovely touch!
The rose gold itself has developed a gorgeous soft rosy patina, wonderfully complementary to the rich golden warmth of the Citrine.
Measuring approximately 3.00cm from the top of the bale to the base and 2.09cm across the setting, this is a particularly lovely and wearable size — substantial enough to make a beautiful statement while remaining perfect for everyday wear. The generously proportioned top loop is also wonderfully accommodating, allowing the fob to be easily added to a favourite necklace, chain or Albertina.
The Citrine displays very superficial nibbles to several facet edges observed under 10x magnification loupe, and a very fine superficial scratch to one of its edges; otherwise, the fob presents in lovely antique condition, with the spinner moving freely and the beautiful decorative detailing remaining wonderfully well preserved.
A truly lovely Edwardian jewel, full of warmth, character and intricate period detail, ready to adorn your favourite necklace and be enjoyed for another generation.

Condition
Very very good antique condition. There are some tiny superficial nibbles to a few of the Citrine’s facet edges and corners, visible under a 10x loupe, together with a very, very superficial scratch to one of the smooth base edges, noted for accuracy only. The beautiful decorative gold work remains lovely and crisp, with no losses. A wonderfully well-preserved antique piece, ready to be worn and adored!Explore Our Collection
