Antique Edwardian 15ct Rose Gold Amethyst And Pearl Ring Circa 1890 - 1910
Pretty as a picture this early ring dates to the late Victorian to Edwardian era, and perhaps began its life as an earlier ring (or even a brooch), but has been expertly re-configured or converted to what we see today, and WOW its stunning.
Crafted from 15ct rose gold in very substantial fashion, weighing a lush 7.5 grams and centred with a large oval faceted Amethyst weighing approximately 2.40ct which is a sumptuous medium to deep purple, multi-claw set, to a surround of sixteen (16) well matched natural half seed Pearls.
The solid gallery is lovely, substantial and the shoulders are bifurcated and lead to a very solid wide which half round shank.
A sublime conversion / or remodel of an older piece, this low rise ring has a large finger presence with a spread of 1.9cm x 1.5cm and a low profile of only 5.5mm make in this one easy to wear, comfortable and strikingly attractive on the finger.

CONDITION
Very very good antique condition. As mentioned this is a conversion, an antique Amethyst Pearl top to a later but mid-century substantial shank, quite possible a ring to begins with but has b been remodelled with this superb new shank and gallery.
The work is exceptional, the later shank and gallery are very thick and heavy. No chips or abrasions to Amethyst. All Pearls appear original, well set and are well matched with only slight variation in hues. All claws surrounding Amethyst are original and secure. A very pretty, well converted low rise antique ring.
