Antique Australian 9ct Rose Gold Ruby ‘Cigar’ Band - Circa 1910-1915
One of, if not the most elegant and wide antique Australian cigar bands we’ve had the pleasure of offering.. and to make this one even more special it is set with a glorious natural ‘pidgeons blood’ oval faceted Ruby weighting approximately 0.25ct.
Crafted in Australia around the first decade or so of the 20the century, this superb example of Australian workmanship is designed as a wide 1.0cm band (no tapering to the rear), modelled in lush and rosy 9ct gold, and centred with a gypsy-star set Ruby which is striking in colour and cut.
This lush, rosiest of rose gold rings has an impressive presence on the finger, is of course very low profile, and who doesn’t want a piece of Australian history in their jewellery collection.
