Antique Australian 9ct Rose Gold Conch Shell Cameo Ring Circa 1905
A lovely example of early Australian cameo jewellery dating to the first decade of the 20th century circa 1910 and featuring a large oval conch shell cameo of a regal woman in flowing garb and upswept hair.
Crafted in 9ct rosy hued gold the cameo is multi claw set to a very low rise gallery, bifurcated shoulders and a half round shank.
Clearly hallmarked in the the Australian fashion with a series of three stamps, however we cannot attribute definitively.
One of the loveliest antique Australian examples of its type given its size, subtle pale pink and white shell pastel tones indicative of Conch shell and quality manufacture by one of our earliest jewellery manufacturers 91851-1950~) this beauty is as wearable today as she was 110 years ago.
