A superb piece of early Australian history dating to the turn of the last century circa 1900.

Crafted by the firm of Harry Gaskell - Melbourne, Victoria, renowned for their exquisite chains and Albert watch chains and this one is one of the finest examples we’ve had the pleasure of offering.

Modelled from 9ct rose gold as a double Albert chain in knot and fancy twist fetter-link style with all original components including the dog clips and original T-bar.
Rosy in hue mostly throughout with the incredible fancy fetter link bars exhibiting more of a soft combination of both yellow and rose in colour, the combination is simply stunning.

Stamped to every knot link and both dog clips with 9c, and to the T-bar and a separate raised cartouche to one of the round links with Harry Gaskells personal symbol of an ‘Acorn’, 9, and the Manufacturing Jewellers Association of Victorias’ guarantee symbol of a ‘Wheatsheaf’.

This rare, immaculate and highly collectible chain is in almost as new condition, quite incredible for its 120 years, and at 42cm in length stunning to say the least around the neck.
