Antique Australian 18ct Rose Gold Heart Shaped Solid Dark Opal Ring Circa 1900-1920
Crafted from lush soft hued 18ct rose gold typical in antique jewellery and set with the most stunning heart-cut solid dark opal (assessed as Type 1 - colour Type N6).
Also known as grey Opal, dark Opal or see-black Opal, this term refers to Opals which have a darker body tone that white Opals, but are not quite dark snout to be classed as black Opal.
This wonderful Opal exhibits a soft grey body tone with beautiful flashes of yellows, golds, pinks, reds, greens and blues!
The Opal is bezel set to a heart shaped surround, open at the back allowing the light to illuminate this Opal perfectly, to a very thick and substantial smooth half round shank.
Incredibly comfortable on the finger this antique ring is a dream to wear.. and a must for the Opal lover!
