A stunning example of Art Deco artistry, this immaculate compact/pendant would suit both the collector of Art Deco objet d’art and jewellery connoisseur.
Crafted from gleaming sterling silver and the prettiest of pink guilloché enamel, with fine engine turned patterning to both front and rear compartments.
This masterpiece was crafted by the renowned Cohen & Charles of Holborn Circus, London, and is crisply hallmarked with their hallmark and date-stamped for 1925.
The compact opens to reveal a almost flawless, high-quality round mirror and a beautifully preserved gold/gilt matte finish interior, both in stunning condition.
The original ovoid-shaped top bale allows it to be worn as a pendant, adding versatility to its charm. Measuring 4.5 cm in diameter and 5.5 cm in total drop (including bale), this substantial piece weighs 27.2 grams, offering a luxurious heft.

CONDITION
Excellent antique condition. This example is almost pristine in condition, with no wear, chips or issues to the stunning enamel work. Inside is almost as pristine, the gilt/gold wash is excellent, hallmarks are clear and crisp. Mirror is lovely with only a tiny ‘blemish’ to the very outer rim, very hard to see, no scratches or ‘flocking’ to mirror. Hinge is excellent, this piece opens and closes perfectly. Original ovoid shaped Sterling silver bale is strong and solid. Just beautiful!
