This lovely antique Art Deco era 9ct Rose Gold patterned ring, hallmarked in Birmingham for 1916, embodies the romantic symbolism of the late Edwardian and early Art Deco periods.

Crafted with a delicate ivy leaf motif, the ring carries the Victorian-era "language of flowers," where ivy symbolised fidelity, eternal love, and friendship, evoking the sentimental phrase “I cling to thee.” Ivy, a popular motif in 19th and early 20th-century wedding bands, reflected enduring love and continuity, often used in wreaths to crown couples on their wedding day.

Weighing 3.84 grams, this example presents in original, excellent antique condition, showcasing crisp, deep floral patterns with no signs of wear or fading. The warm rosy gold, accented by subtle yellow texturing, enhances its antique charm.

Fully hallmarked with Birmingham assay marks, 9ct gold, and the date letter ‘r’ for 1916, it also bears the maker’s mark ‘C V E Bs,’ though the maker remains unattributed.

Measuring a size M (16.7mm diameter, US 6 1/4), resizing is possible but may disrupt the intricate pattern.
Without stones, the ring’s beauty lies in its craftsmanship and historical significance, making it a perfect choice for those seeking a meaningful, symbolic, antique treasure.
