Antique Art Deco Egyptian Revival Silver Enamel Spoon circa 1925
For all the Egyptomania collectors, this wonderful piece of Art Deco Egyptian Revival flatware dates to the Art Deco period circa 1925-30.
Crafted from ‘800’ Silver / 80% pure silver, with a lovely gold gilt wash over.
To the top of the spoon we find two beautiful Lotus flowers enameled in red, white and blue fine enameling, and to the bowl of the spoon a graphic depicting the Sphinx, a Pyramid and a wee Camel with his owner. Surrounding the depiction is another Lotus, a scarab in blue enamel and Ra the sun god above in blue enamel.
A fine example, in lovely condition with no losses to to the enamel work or gilt wash, this is a special collectors piece and will not disappoint!
