Another superb antique ‘Keeper’ ring crafted in 1919 in Birmingham by W.G & S - For William Griffiths & Sons - Birmingham.

‘Keeper’ ring gained popularity during the Victorian era and beyond and were given as a pre-betrothal ring with the sweet sentiments of ‘You’re a Keeper!”.

This especially fine example is modelled in soft and subtly hued 9ct rose gold with the most beautiful antique rose colour and is studded with an array of romantic Hearts and to floral rosettes to the shoulders.

Giving a substantial finger coverage measuring 1.1cm at the widest point, tapering sightly to the shoulders then to the thick and substantial shank.

Wouldn’t this ring be the perfect ‘promise’ ring for some lucky person and serve out its original purpose for another century?

Very very good antique 103 year old condition. Hallmarks are crisp and clear. No thinning to ring throughout. Heart pattern is very good and clear condition. Very slight subtle fading to one rosette on one shoulder only. Lovely wide and impressive ring.
