Always popular and rightly so this 18ct yellow gold ‘Keeper’ ring was crafted by William Griffiths & Sons, Birmingham, in 1916 and hallmarked as such.

Modelled as a ‘Keeper’ ring which is a style dating back to as early as the 1700’s. Gaining popularity in the Victorian era these rings were given as a pre-betrothal ring with the sweet sentiment of ‘You’re a Keeper!’. and were usually given one year before the official engagement date.

This one is so romantic and symbolic given the three sweet Hearts to the centre amongst the lovely detailing surrounding it, to a wide and very solid half round shank.

Wide at 1.1 at the widest point and a hefty 6.74 grams this easy to wear, low rise, highly symbolic ring would make a lovely alternative wedding, promise or engagement ring.

Very good to excellent antique 106 year old condition. Substantial and solidly made ring with no thinning throughout. Pattern and Hearts she no fading. Very minor marks here and there to gold, absolutely nothing significant. Gorgeous and sentimental ring.
