A superb handcrafted antique (possibly Australian) 18ct gold half hoop five stone ring dating to the early 20th century.
Set with five stunning ‘G’ colour antique cut diamonds, all of which are six claw set, in very slightly graduated fashion. The central diamond is 0.38ct, secondary diamonds are 0.31ct each, and end diamonds are 0.14ct each.
Mounted to an equally stunning carved scrolling under gallery, to beautifully engraved shoulders, to a plain half round shank.
Described in the valuation as yellow gold, we would class this one as that lovely in-between rosy/yellow gold hue.
Exquisite in every way this antique treasure is stunning worn on its own but also sits beautifully a wedding ring, eternity band or even perhaps an engagement ring.

CONDITION
Excellent antique condition. As noted above there is a minuscule nick to one diamond on the girdle (perimeter) which cannot be seen without the aid of a x 10 jewellers loupe, cannot be seen with the naked eye - our gemologist is very particular, more than most! All claws original and in excellent condition with no wear. No thinning to shank. Diamonds are a stunning G colour and very bright white and scintillating. A strikingly beautiful ring.
