Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold Amethyst Cocktail Ring
Striking and impressively large Amethyst ring dating to around the 1970’s and crafted from 9ct yellow gold.
Front and centre is a large approximately 1.9cm x 1.3cm x 1.0cm or approx 13cts oval faceted Amethyst of the most beautiful medium to deep purple hue with typical flashes of lighter purples and pinks shining through under certain lights.
This large Amethyst is four double claw set to an oval cradle and to each side strong upswept shoulders which flow smoothly to the thick wide shank.
We like to call this colour ‘royal’ purple, its deep and lush velvety hue veritably screams regality!

Very very good pre-owned condition. Claws are double and strong. Amethyst has no chips or abrasions. There are natural inclusions seen under magnification typical of natural amethysts. Shank is strong and solid, no thinning. Minor marks to gold insignificant. Large, bright and beautiful ring.
