Antique Early 20th Century 935 Silver And Guilloché Pink Enamel Mirrored Compact Circa 1920’s
Dating to the early 20th century circa 1920’s to 30’s, this superb, all original chatelaine guilloché opening compact with original is simply delightful.
Worn originally as a functional piece of jewellery, no expense was spared in the manufacture of these exquisite pieces, with their engine turned gold washed interiors which gleam when opened, and their stunning almost iridescent guliioché enamel work.
This fine example is crafted from a higher than Sterling silver grade - 935 Silver - probably Dutch or Austrian in origin given the stamp to the original top ring, and features the most stunning pink guilloché enamel work to both the front and rear, and to the interior exquisite engine turning with gold wash over, and its original mirror which is in very good condition.
A perfect size to wear as a pendant at 3.2cm round and with the original top bale a 4cm drop, the oval bale will accommodate a nice sized chain or velvet ribbon.
Stunning in manufacture this superb piece is bright and beautiful , in excellent antique condition and receives compliments whenever it is seen!

Very good to excellent antique condition. Guilloché enamel work is in excellent condition, no chips, abrasions or dulling, very vibrant. Original sealed 935 silver bale, strong with no thinning. The internal mirror is in lovely condition with only very minor marks, no obvious foxing or desilvering. Gold wash to interior engine turned compartment is in excellent condition with no losses.
