Antique Georgian / Regency 1780-1830 Silhouette Portrait Of Young Man
The scissor-cut hand painted silhouette features bronze highlighting to the gentlemans hair, and textured black hand painted highlights to his jacket and hair.
Housed under convex glass to a black paper maché/wood frame, bronze or brass frame with ribbon top detail, and interestingly the top of the paper maché frame is adorned with a Dove, symbolic of mourning.
A wonderful piece for the serious collector.

Very good Georgian 220 year old condition. Patina to brass frame. Glass shows no cracks or scratches. Painted paper maché/wood shows nibbles to edges and sides, nothing too significant. Paper backing is original and in good condition, two tiny holes - see photos. Over all
