Step back in time with this charming antique multi-tool propelling Chatelaine fob, which today can be worn (and still used!) as a strikingly unusual pendant.
Dating to the late Victorian to early Edwardian eras and designed as a functional piece of jewellery which would have been worn on a ladies Chatelaine and used for daily activities required by the head of a household during this era.
Crafted from gilt over metal with engine turned patterning to the main cylinder, and featuring for useful tools which all propel and retract - fully functional propelling pencil, a button hook used for tiny buttons on a ladies attire, a toothpick, and a tiny letter opener.
The original top link remains and is strong and solid, also crafted in gilt over metal.
Wear this interesting conversation starter on a favourite chain or just add it to you curio cabinet.

CONDITION
Very good antique condition. All tools propel well if not a little firmly! Pencil still retains lead. Gilt metal is in very good condition with almost no loss or dents, minor marks only. Top ring is original, large and solid, also in gold fill material or similar. Gilt metal will develop a patina, a polish with a gold cloth will be required from time to time.
