Vintage 14ct Yellow Gold And Carved ‘Lotos Blossom’ Jadeite Pendant Circa 1960-70’s

An exotic, large and beautifully carved piece of Jadeite dating to around the 1960-70’s.
Carved in relief with a representation of a ‘Lotus’ flower, significant in various cultures for its ability to rise and thrive from muddy waters to bloom so beautifully, symbolising a spiritual awakening, enlightenment, purity and rebirth.
Topped with a substantial 14ct gold bale which is ‘riveted’ through the piece of Jadeite and large to accommodate a range of chains and/or bolt rings etc, and suspending the impressive carved large 7cm x 2.5cm Jadeite Lotus. The carving flows to the verso of the piece also.
Dropping an exquisite 7.6cm including the bale, heavy at over 36 grams, this piece is wonderfully eye catching and elicits compliments when ever worn!
