Introducing a simply marvelous pair of Vintage Estate 18ct Yellow Gold and Black Star Sapphire Earrings. These gorgeous earrings feature two perfectly matched Black Star Sapphire cabochons, each measuring 5.30mm, showcasing a captivating and crisp "star" chatoyancy that dances across their rayed, domed surfaces. The sapphires are set in rich 18ct yellow gold, with a classic round design measuring 1.8cm in diameter and a total weight of 4.85 grams.
The earrings are fitted with sturdy posts, quite possibly later conversions, expertly executed to ensure a solid and stable construction. The posts are straight and robust, complemented by secure butterfly backs crafted in 9ct gold with a rosy hue, stamped "375" for authenticity. These later backs match beautifully and hold firmly in place, offering both elegance and practicality.
Marked with "18k" on the earrings themselves, this pair remains in very good vintage condition. The Black Star Sapphires are pristine, free from chips, abrasions, or dulling, retaining their alluring brilliance. CONDITION
Very very good vintage condition. The star Sapphires are lovely, no chips, abrasions or dulling, and elicit a lovely small crisp ‘Star’ chatoyancy. Post fittings may be a late conversion, however done vey well and are very solid and stable. Posts are straight and solid, butterfly backs are very firm and tight on the posts.
