Antique Victorian 15ct Yellow Gold Etruscan Revival Diamond Locket - Chester 1887

This wonderful locket was crafted in 1887 and bears full hallmarks for assay in Chester, gold stamps for 15ct and date letter stamp for 1887.
Designed in the Etruscan revival style with intricate gold embellishments, rope work and tiny gold ball accents to the outside, with a large inverted V shape bale allowing a variety of good sized chains to be worn, or in the Victorian style a plush velvet ribbon!
To the verso a large, original, glass paned locket compartment to hold a photo or perhaps some treasured pressed flowers, which is easy to remove and re-insert.
Measuring the perfect size with a drop of 4cm including bale, and a lovely 2.3cm wide, this not too heavy not too light Victorian locket is simply stunning whether worn alone of teamed with you other favourite #neckmess pendants for a layer look.

Very good to excellent antique condition. No repairs or damage, donor makes to gold only. No chips or abrasions to diamond, well set and secure. Original pane to rear locket, no damage or scratches, easy to remove and clicks backing securely. No issues to note. Stunning!
