The Shishi (石獅; shíshī), often referred to as a ‘lion dog,’ is a mythical creature in Chinese folklore, symbolising protection, strength, and good fortune.
This exotic and strikingly unusual pendant features two Shishi in opposing, almost Ying and Yang style in orientation.
Sleek and smooth to the touch, beautifully carved, and weighing a heavy 43.3 grams, this heavy pendant measures an impressive 6cm drop x 4cm including the large wide V shaped bale, which is crafted from bright and lush 14ct yellow gold.
A conversation starter that will turn heads, but also steeped in symbolism and, with luck, will bring you good fortune!
