HISTORY OF KIM NAVER (1940 - CURRENT)
Kim Naver is a Danish designer and textile artist, specialising in weaving and tapestry. Inspired by both coarse Polish techniques and patterns and materials from the Orient, she has been successful in creating textiles for industrial furniture manufacturers (Cotil, Paustian), as well as for domestic use. Naver is recognised as one of Denmark's leading figures in Danish modern textile art.
Her works are extensive, and have included the decoration of the Denmark's National Bank in 1978-79 (where her works were commissioned to compliment the architectural design of Arne Jacobsen), and the SAS flight Academy in Stockholm with the help of her students.
