Large and quite striking natural Turquoise ring set with a large oval domed Turquoise measuring 2cm x 1.3cm, bezel set to bifurcated shoulders to a simple half round comfortable shank.
The colour is a green/ blue to the front which may have changed colour slightly over the years as the red of the stone is slightly ‘bluer’ in tone.
However this is a striking and interesting stone!
Nicely crafted from soft hued 9ct rose gold and fully hallmarked with UK hallmarks for London.
Impressive on the finger due to its size this one draws comments whenever she is worn.
History of Turquoise
Turquoise is a very porous and absorptive precious stone. As a result of oxidation, the stones can actually change colour. Blue turquoise that contains copper can change from a light blue to a dark green.
