Marvellous pair of vintage Bohemian garnet earrings hallmarked for 900 standard silver (and gilt over) and the Czechoslovakian ‘rabbits head 3, denoting manufacture between 1957-1962.
In superb condition this heavy 10 gram pair are modelled in almost the Victorian pendeloque drop style and measure an impressive 5.2cm drop from the ear.
Set with an array of luscious deep red natural Bohemian garnet - Pryope garnets - and designed as post fitting earrings for pierced ears.
The posts are threaded and quite sizeable and the backs are lovely resembling a tall openwork worn and these ’screw’ or thread onto the posts which make them very secure in the ear.
With a heavy ‘gilt’ gold wash over the entire earrings, back and front, appearing very much like carat gold and in such beautiful condition these superb earrings are a must for the collector or/and earring connoisseur.

CONDITION
Very very good vintage condition. No chips or abrasions to ANY garnet, they are immaculate even under x10 loupe magnification. No replacements or resets. Gold/gilt wash over is in lovely condition, thick with no fading or losses, very minor marks only. Posts are solid and quite thick, backs screw on very securely. Gorgeous large earrings.
