This slim and ‘flat’ edged 18ct yellow gold band by early Australian manufacturing firm ‘Rodd’.
History of G.E.Rodd
George Rodd established his workshop in 1919 and began making trophies and medallions soon expanding into cutlery and jewellery.
By the 1930's Rodd was the leading manufacturer of jewellery in Australia. He used the trade name Apex until the firm became a limited company in 1948 when the name changed to Rodd.
This piece would date to the late 1940’s to 1950’s.
Stamped clearly with 18ct and ‘Rodd’ and in lovely condition, this slim little band is perfect in amongst your favourite stack
