Vintage Australian 18ct White Gold Natural Sapphire And Diamond Ring
Please note, boxes are for display only unless otherwise stated.
Manufactured around the 1950’s this charming ring exemplifies the superb craftsmanship and design principles of Australian jewellery, demonstrating a commitment to both quality and aesthetics.
Crafted from 18ct white gold and featuring as the principal gemstone - an emerald-cut natural Australian teal blue Sapphire. Four corner claw set for security and protection, the mesmerising Sapphire sits in a slightly raised open worked under gallery, to arched shoulders each set with two bright round single-cut diamonds with charming millgraine details, to a very solid half round comfortable shank.
Dazzling and bright, the deep teal blue hue of the Sapphire contrasts superbly with the luminous white diamonds and white gold settings.
Stamped with a set of Australian marks including a map of Australia, and ‘M’ enclosed in a circle which may be for S. Middlewick of Perth Australian 1912-1950+. However we can’t conclusively confirm at this stage.
A superb piece of Australian jewellery, an asset to any jewellery connoisseurs collection.
