Such an elegant beauty, this large oval natural pale or ’Rose de France’ hued Amethyst is a delight to wear.

Stunningly set in place with seventeen claws, all in excellent condition, which are discreet as to not detract from the large and showy Amethyst.

Set in 9ct gold, which is that soft toned not quite rose not quite yellow colour, giving it that ‘ye olde’ world look.

The Amethyst is set in a low raised solid basket gallery, to bifurcated shoulders, to a nice solid wide D shape band.

Unmarked but tested as 9ct gold, we believe this ring is quite old, perhaps antique, and at some stage of its history the hallmarks have been lost to resizing.

Excellent condition. No abrasions or chips to Amethyst. All claws original and very secure. No thinning to band. Hallmarks probably sized out but no evidence of sizing to band, has been done competently
